LEGO® inspired franchise launches in Westmeath & Roscommon

  • Global leader in educational play, Bricks 4 Kidz aims to deliver ‘hands on, minds on’ LEGO® based STEM learning to the children of Westmeath & Roscommon
  • Launch event to take place at Mullingar Library on Saturday September 7th from 11am

27th August 2019: Bricks 4 Kidz, which delivers educational play activities through LEGO®, has now arrived in Westmeath and Roscommon. The innovative STEM focused educational play business builds on its existing Irish footprint with the new Westmeath and Roscommon based franchise.

Teaching children, aged between 3 and 16 years, the principles of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Maths (STEM), Bricks 4 Kidz is the global leader in educational play. The new franchise operator and Mullingar native, Robbie Fenton, recognised that this innovative concept provided the perfect opportunity to bring play-based STEM education to the children of Westmeath and Roscommon, and believes Bricks 4 Kidz will prove to be very popular in the area.

Karl Fitzpatrick, Master Franchisee for Bricks 4 Kidz in Ireland, welcomed Robbie to the ever-expanding network of franchisees across the country.

“We’re very proud that Bricks 4 Kidz is now accessible for the children of Westmeath and Roscommon. Over the past few years, we have been on a mission to ensure that no child in Ireland is left behind when it comes to learning the principles of STEM and we are delighted that Robbie Fenton has joined the Bricks 4 Kidz campaign. With Robbie’s enthusiasm and ambitious plans for his franchise, I have no doubt that Bricks 4 Kidz will help to inspire the next generation of engineers, technology and science leaders right across the midlands.”

With a presence in 45 countries worldwide and operating across 18 counties in Ireland, the company’s project based programmes use motorised LEGO® Technic® models to reinforce key concepts in the primary school curriculum. Bricks 4 Kidz will be offering in-school workshops, after-school classes, birthday parties, camps and many more activities across Westmeath and Roscommon.

Bricks 4 Kidz already has primary school workshops scheduled with Emper and Moyvore National Schools during September. Robbie and his team will be offering Science Foundation Ireland accredited workshops to primary schools right across Westmeath and Roscommon for the National Maths and Science weeks in October and November.

Speaking about the new offering, Robbie Fenton said: “It’s fantastic that local children will now have access to the unique Bricks 4 Kidz workshops and classes. Our future leaders will now have the opportunity to engage with STEM subjects through their world of play and experience hands on, minds on learning. I only wish this was in Westmeath when I was in school!”

Halloween camps are scheduled to take place over the mid-term break in Mullingar, Athlone and Kinnegad, with limited places remaining. Children will build motorised LEGO® Technic models of their favourite film and computer game characters, along with learning about renewable energy and gravitational forces.  A launch event will take place in Mullingar Library on Saturday September 7th from 11am-1pm. It’s a free family event with activities for children aged 3-12 years. To register to attend and for more information on Bricks 4 Kidz please visit the booking site.
