Summer Camps Swords

Bricks 4 Kidz camps provide a fun and educational learning experience for girls and boys aged 4.5 – 12 during the holidays. Children will enjoy using LEGO^® Bricks to build specially-designed models, play games, explore the world of engineering and architecture. We use Lego Bricks, Mosaics and Lego Technic with motors. We also have imaginative free play sessions.

Bricks 4 Kidz are running our first Swords Summer Camp in Applewood Community Centre in July.

Our summer camps are small in size (24 children) so children make friends easily. I am also available for personal customer service to parents during the camp week.

Our camps are largely seated. We organise a range of fun, challenging Lego STEM building activities (age appropriate), including Lego Technic each day. Children are grouped with children their age.

Our camps are mainstream settings, catering for children with a ratio of 12:1 staff. We may be able to cater for mild additional needs, where children can work on task independently. Staff assist all children at camp.

Our ratios 12:1 do not support 1:1 ongoing supervision/ breaks to children with moderate to severe additional needs. As a small business, we do not have SNA resources and classroom assistants like schools.

Please note, while we are a Lego Camp with a wonderful offering, we do not specialise in additional needs. Additional needs are best discussed with myself before booking. This way, I can advise parents how to prepare children for what to expect from procedures in the camp day. This is helpful for children with mild additional needs, in our experience. It also sets expectations for parents about what we do.

Children should be school age to attend, although we do accept Summer enrolments for children entering school that August. Younger children may fare better with a sibling or friend. Some venues have toilets in the room, others within the centre. Discuss this with me individually if not stated. We will offer a Lego themed craft activity one or two days for younger children and they enjoy this.

Please note bathroom is not within the room, as in Montessori setting,. Children are accompanied in small groups to bathroom, as required.
