Science Week

Science Week celebrates the fascinating and life-changing world of science. This year it will run from Sunday 11th November till Sunday 18th November and together with Bricks 4 Kidz your school can promote scientific principles through play based activities. Out LEGO® based education programmes have proven to be a very effective method of reinforcing scientific concepts to school age children.

A Bricks 4 Kidz Science Week Workshop

Our Science week workshops will provide children of all ages  with a fun and educational way to appreciate how science is a fundamental part of their everyday lives. Each workshop is age appropriate and tailored to the specific curriculum objectives for each class.  All Science Week workshops are one hour in duration, led by our Garda Vetted lego tutors and each child will receive a “take-home” sheet, which can be provided to parents to explain what their child learned during the workshop:

• We Learn: The Bricks 4 Kidz tutors will deliver a 10 minute themed lesson about Science.
• We Build: Children work together to build LEGO® models of the concepts discussed during the presentation.
• We Play: Children can explore their creativity during free play at the end of each workshop.

As Science Foundation Ireland accredited outreach programmes, our in-school workshops during Science Week can be utilised by schools to gain credits towards their Science Foundation Ireland Discover Science and Maths Awards.
